Sojourns

Photography has been a hobby of mine for many years.  Nature has always been primary with relatives being a close second.  I have several thousand 35 mm negatives which have been sitting idle in a binder.  I’ve contemplated scanning at high resolution and start up a database but the job looks overwhelming.  Maybe soon.  Anyway, the following photos are places I’ve visited.  These places are primarily desolate and devoid of large crowds.  Nice.  Try to visit them during times of the year that spring flowers start sprouting.  This usually is best right after the first spring rains and temperatures have started becoming warm

The photos were taken during numerous trips. Lately, the effort has been to spend more time getting to know California a bit better. The various deserts found in the southern and eastern portions of California are replete with interesting and fascinating geologic and natural wonders.
